The world came to Fayetteville, Arkansas in the form of the UCI 2022 Cyclo-Cross World Championships. The best riders in the discipline, along with their fans from across the globe descended on Northwest Arkansas for three days of exciting and intense racing.
The Ozarks were a welcoming host with unseasonably mild temperatures for this time of year. While rain, mud, or even snow would have made for more dramatic racing, and photos, riders and spectators alike surely appreciated the warm weather and sunny skies.
Winners of the coveted rainbow jersey in each category were: (Men's Elite) Tom Pidcock - United Kingdom, (Women's Elite) Marianne Vos - Netherlands, (Men's U23) Joran Wyseure - Belgium, (Women's U23) Puck Pieterse - Netherlands, (Men's Junior) Jan Christen - Switzerland, and (Women's Junior) Zoe Backstedt - United Kingdom.
